We're starting the year with some positivity - this round is all about character strengths. You'll get to explore the positive attributes that your favorite characters rely on the most in life. These are the traits that best define what a character can offer to a team or what they are most recognized for.
We've provided eight types of strength you can use as a strating point if you so choose. Which characters from your favorite fandoms would best exemplify each category, and in which scenes are the strengths showcased? Or perhaps you'll want to focus on the progress of a character who starts off weak in one area, but gains a lot of strength during the story.

This is a fully interpretative/subject-based round, there are no wrong interpretations. Note that this round doesn't have to be all about the good guys - any strength can be weaponized, and it will be interesting to see if you find some strengths in villains as well.

NORMAL MODE: Create 5-20 icons freely inspired by this inspiration post and the general theme of character strengths
HARD MODE: This mode is about character classification. Using the example strengths and virtues listed in this post, pick characters that you think fit these classes, and make icons of them. Please label which character is for which strength class, and remember that there are no right or wrong classifications, we all have different interpretations of characters! You may use the icons and textures in this post as inspiration, but this is not required.
EXTRA HARD MODE: The icons should reflect the chosen strength in terms of technique (symbolism, colors, text, textures etc). You may freely choose the strength, it doesn't need to be in the examples in this post, but please label the strengths and feel free to also explain your interpretation, if you don't think they're obvious.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH

These characters rely on their physique. Their athletic condition makes them well suited to physical tasks. They may have a lot of muscle strength, speed, agility or endurance, or their athleticism might be more skill-based, such as excellent aim. Some characters may even benefit from some supernatural skills that boost their performance or give them extra powers.
MENTAL STRENGTH

These characters make an impression with their unbreakable will. They are natural leaders and have the courage to stand up for what they feel is right, even if the whole world is against them. They often have a lot of self confidence and charisma that help them get people behind them. These characters are willing to confront any obstacle to get their way and are not easily shaken by anything, but when things do go wrong, they are able to get up and bounce back.
BRAIN

Characters who rely on their brain, which can mean anything from advanced degrees in science to street smarts and cunning schemes. Perhaps they have a photographic memory or are particularly creative. They may possess a wide general knowledge that will come in handy in any situation, or they might have a deep expertise in one particular area. Often these characters shine with their ability to make logical deductions from provided information.
BEAUTY

These characters are blessed with good looks, and they often put a lot of effort into maintaining their beauty. They may be obsessed with expensive clothes, or have a unique style of their own, which can also get them positive attention. A lot of things in life come easy for them because of their looks - some of them indeed will use their allure to their advantage. Either way, this is a character whose physical beauty is noted by others and often affects their social status.
SENSE OF HUMOUR

Characters whose greatest gift is their sense of humour - they bring levity to any situation with their jokes, pranks, or witty remarks. Whether their brand of humour is endless puns, self deprecation or dry sarcasm, this character does not tend to take things too seriously.
CALMNESS

These are characters with a gift for mental stability. They are able to keep it cool under pressure, and may have a calming effect on others as well. Whether their peace of mind comes from faith or philosophy or is there by nature, their peaceful composure makes them easy to be around, and provides them with a clarity to assess situations more objectively.
SOCIABILITY

These characters have strong social game in one way or another. They are interested in other people and enjoy company, and a joyous nature often goes along with this strength. Many of these characters are social butterflies who get along with almost anyone, and people often graviate to them. Some might be more introverted but shine with their ability to read social cues, as well as empathize with and understand people.
HARD WORK

These diligent worker bees are not afraid of taking action. Whether this character is a blue collar worker working hard to get by, a performer putting countless hours of practise into perfecting their craft, a dedicated student married to their books, or a struggling hero who just refuses to give up when faced with an impossible task, you will never find them slouching off or procrastinating.

What a great prompt! And a really gorgeous inspiration post as well. Thank you for putting it together!

This might be a silly question but is it okay to icon non-fictional people as well? Like could I make a Taylor Swift icon with some of her lyrics as text and list it under "song writing" as a strength? Or icon a close up of Beyonce under "beauty" as a strength?
