This round we're focusing on the atmosphere of the icons. The overall look of your icons for this round should evoke an atmosphere of some kind; it can be based on an emotional state, a specific aesthetic, a time period, anything that has a distinct "vibe". It can be as simple as a generic mood, or as specific as the vibe of a selected song. Keep in mind that the atmosphere of the icon means more than just the emotions the characters are feeling - it also comes from the coloring, lighting, contrast, composition, and other techniques.

The inspiration post has eight different atmospheres as examples, but you can come up with your own, the options are endless. This is an interpretative challenge, there's no wrong or right way to execute an atmospheric look, just choose the vibe you're going for and see where the inspiration takes you.

NORMAL MODE: Atmospheric icons of any kind, you can mix and match different atmospheres.
HARD MODE: Make icons for one or more of the eight example atmospheres in this post.
EXTRA HARD MODE: Change the atmosphere of the selected scenes/screencaps completely through lighting, coloring and other techniques. Some examples of this mode would be taking a joyful screencap and making it look sad, or taking a scene of a conflict and manipulating it look like a romantic date. For this mode we're asking you to provide links to the original screencaps so that everyone can appreciate the difference.

Rules
+ Create 5-20 icons for the challenge. (NOTE: the upper limit may be increased, there's a poll for this, please vote here!)
+ Icons must fit LJ standards (100x100px, gif/jpg/png format, 100kb or less)
+ All icons must be new and made specifically for the challenge
+ Post either a link to your icon journal post, or post the icons directly to this community (in a new post)
+ Each entry should have three example icons before the link or the LJ cut
+ If linking to your icon journal, the post must be public at least until the end of the challenge.
